Unfriending, from Jefferson and Adams to Today

For the final cast of 2016 we look at Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, and their period of estrangement and renewed correspondence. Their story is very well known, but a few less commonly known points -such as Abigal Adams’s role in the story  – are discussed.  Also, a somewhat critical look at social media and its effect on political discussion, as well as a peek at what could have been the start of angry politics on TV, with Buckley and Vidal.

Happy New Years to all who listen.  This has been a great year for the podcast with a fair number of new listeners, the launch of the Premium MHCBUYP, acknowledgement from Columbia Journalism Review and a few other places, the publication of Bruce’s book The Five Biggest Fibs and more.
